Privacy Policy

Latent is a camera that makes you wait. It is built so that we know almost nothing about you. This whole policy fits on one screen, and that is the point.

What we collect

Nothing, until you order prints. No account, no login, no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking. The app does not ask permission to track you because it does not track you.

When you order a roll, we collect exactly two things, at checkout:

1. Your shipping address and name — sent to our print lab partner (Prodigi) so your prints can be printed and mailed to you.
2. Your email address — used to send you updates about that order (paid, printed, shipped, delivered). Nothing else. No newsletter.

Your photos are encrypted on your device the moment you take them. They are uploaded once, when you seal a roll, for a single purpose: printing them. They are deleted from our servers shortly after your prints are delivered and your digital roll is unlocked. We never look at them, analyse them, or use them to train anything.

Payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us. Stripe applies its own fraud-prevention checks during payment (see stripe.com/privacy).

What identifies you

A random ID created on your phone. It is not your name, not your email, and not derived from your device. Deleting the app deletes it.

What we never do

No selling of data. No sharing beyond the three parties named above (print lab, Stripe, the carrier delivering your envelope). No push notifications. No reading your photo library — Latent can only add your developed photos to it, with your permission, on unlock day.

Your rights (EU)

You can ask us to show or delete the order data we hold (address, email, order history) at any time: privacy@latent.photography. Note that your prints are personalised goods — the 14-day withdrawal right ends at order confirmation, as stated at checkout. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
