already there.

Latent is a film camera. You buy a roll, you shoot blind, and a real lab mails you the prints. The digital copies unlock the day the envelope arrives.

The ritual

You shoot. You wait. You unwrap.

  1. Aim

A clean viewfinder and a frame counter. 24 or 36 frames — that's the whole interface.

  2. Trust

No previews, no retakes, no gallery. Every frame is encrypted on your phone where even you can't see it.

  3. Seal

When the roll is full, you seal it for good. A professional lab prints your photos on 10×15 cm paper.

  4. Wait

For a few days your photos exist only as an envelope crossing the country. Waiting is the feature.

  5. Unlock

A code printed inside the package unlocks the digital roll — one slow reveal, then your photos live in your library.

One decision

Honest answers

Questions you should ask

Can I see my photos before the prints arrive?

No. Not once, not blurred, not "just this one". Frames are encrypted the moment you shoot. That's not a missing feature — it's the product.

Where's my envelope?

In the mail. We ship in a plain untracked envelope — better unboxing, lower price, no anxiety bar to refresh. The app estimates arrival, and your code works whenever the envelope shows up, even if the app still says "in the mail".

Can I cancel an order?

Until you seal the roll, there's nothing to cancel — shoot at your pace. Once sealed, your prints go into production immediately. They're made just for you, so the 14-day withdrawal right ends at order confirmation. We say this at checkout too, in one calm sentence.

What if my envelope is lost or damaged?

Write us. We keep your frames for 30 days after delivery for exactly this — we'll reprint and reship once, free.

What if I lose my phone mid-roll?

Then the roll is gone, like a film roll in a lost camera. Frames live encrypted on your phone only, until you seal. It's film — that's the deal.

How many rolls can I shoot at once?

One. The constraint is the point.
